Try the demo store
In short
The demo store is Juniper Row, a made-up shop with three months of sales, payouts and payments already in it. Open it at demo.vendordue.com with no install and no sign-in. Press anything you like; nothing you change is saved.
Before you install, you can see VendorDue on a store that has been selling for three months. Open demo.vendordue.com, or press Explore the demo store on the VendorDue site, on Pricing, or on the plan page inside Shopify, where it opens in a new tab.
What's in it#
Juniper Row sells for sixteen vendors:
- Consignors get 60% of each sale, and 70% of anything that sells for $100 or more.
- Makers get 70%, and pay $75 a month in booth rent, which comes off their payouts.
- One artist gets 65% under a six-month written agreement.
Sales wait until they ship, then through a 14-day Return window Days a sale waits after it ships, is delivered or sells, so a return comes off before you pay. In the glossary. Payouts land on the 1st and the 15th for any vendor owed $25 or more. Consignors are paid by check and everyone else by bank transfer, and one vendor is still waiting to be paid. There are refunds, a return that came after its payout, and a vendor archived while they were still owed.
The store is built again every night, so its last day is always today.
Three places to start#
The lime band across the top has three links:
- Open a sale opens one sale from the order to the payment, with a refund that came after the payout that carried it.
- See who gets paid next opens Payouts: who is owed, and on which day.
- See it as a vendor opens Larkspur Vintage's own page, the way one of your vendors would see it. Back to the store returns.
Saving#
Everything works until it would change the store. Press Save, Send now, Record payment or Invite, and a short note says "In your store this saves." The demo stays as it is for the next person.
Downloads work: statements, receipts, reports and files for your accountant download as they would in your own store. Settings, then Billing shows both plans, but plans are chosen in your own store.
The demo never sends an email, never reaches PayPal or Shopify, and nobody in it is real.
Leaving#
Press Leave the demo in the band. You go back to where you came from: your Shopify admin if you opened the demo from the plan page, otherwise the VendorDue site.
When it looks wrong#
The demo says it's getting ready#
The demo is built for the first time, or built again after a change to VendorDue. Try again in a few minutes.
