Plans, the trial and paused payouts

In short

Standard covers up to 25 vendors for $19 a month; Unlimited covers every vendor for $49. Both start with 14 free days and are charged on your Shopify bill. Archived vendors don't count. A store over its plan has 14 days to change; after that, sales are still recorded but payouts and payments wait.

AdminIn the app: Settings, then Billing

VendorDue has two plans, and the only difference is how many vendors they cover. Everything else is the same on both.

The two plans#

StandardUnlimited
VendorsUp to 25Every vendor
Monthly$19$49
Yearly$190$490
Everything elseIncludedIncluded

Only vendors who aren't archived count: "Archived vendors do not count." A vendor you stopped selling for months ago costs nothing once you archive them.

Settings, then Billing shows Vendors against the plan, and which plan fits: "With 18 vendors, Standard covers this store."

The free trial#

When Setup has counted your sales, VendorDue shows what it found and which plan fits. Start free trial takes you to Shopify's own plan page, where you choose. "Nothing is charged for 14 days, and uninstalling before then costs nothing." Explore the demo store beside it opens a store already full of sales in a new tab: see Try the demo store.

Until you choose, you have 7 days from installing, or until you finish Setup, whichever comes first. After that, every page opens the plan page until an Admin chooses one. Settings, Setup, support and your copy of the data stay open.

Where the charge appears#

On your Shopify bill, as VendorDue. VendorDue never charges you itself: Shopify bills you with your other apps. Where charges appear in Settings › Billing has See in Shopify.

Changing plan#

Change plan opens Shopify's plan page. Move between Standard and Unlimited, or Switch to yearly, there, any time. A year costs ten months, and Shopify charges or credits the difference when you switch. Only an Admin can change the plan.

Over your plan#

When a Standard store passes 25 vendors who aren't archived, every page shows a notice: "31 vendors, 6 more than Standard covers." and "Move to Unlimited by Tuesday, 20 October, or archive vendors you no longer sell for. Everything is still recorded." Admins get the same by email.

You have 14 days. Nothing changes until then.

When payouts pause#

If the store is still over after 14 days, the notice reads "Payouts and payments are paused." What that means:

Still worksWaits
Every sale is recorded from ShopifyPayouts don't land on their pay day
Your vendors see everything you publishedRecording a payment, issuing a check, Send now
Terms, vendors, messages, reports and downloads

It opens again the moment the plan covers your vendors. Archive vendors, and it opens at once; move to Unlimited, and it opens as soon as Shopify confirms. Payouts that came due while it waited land within the hour after.

When it looks wrong#

"Payouts and payments wait until this store's plan covers it"#

Payouts and payments are paused for the store. An Admin can see why in Settings, then Billing.

I archived vendors and payouts are still paused#

Reload the page. Archiving opens the store straight away; the notice catches up when the page loads again.

I chose a plan but VendorDue still asks me to#

Shopify takes a moment to tell VendorDue. Open Settings, then Billing, which asks Shopify again.

Common questions#

Do vendors pay anything?
No. Vendors' pages are free, and a vendor who sells at several stores on VendorDue pays nothing at any of them. More
Does an archived vendor count again if I bring them back?
Yes. Bringing a vendor back counts them against the plan again. More
How do I cancel?
Uninstall VendorDue from Shopify, and the charges stop. See Uninstalling. More
